Grn Sydney Harbour Tunnel

Does anyone know why grn works in all the other tunnels around Sydney but not the harbour tunnel (I have the right control freq 416.300) ?????? Any ideas ?

I know grn works in there , because I have driven a vehicle in there with grn radio operating , but I driven through there about six times a day, but the moment I take my 396 xt out I get zip ??? I'm running of gpt (416.125) going in and out no probs ? I'm both control channels for the tunnel ?

What do you mean by "zip"?

You do know that unless there is an actual GRN radio unit affiliating with the tunnel site you won't get any radio traffic on your 396XT while you're inside?

Yes,I don't think many of us want to stay in car tunnels or underground railway stations waiting for a GRN user to join us to key up their radio so we can say we "trunked that system"!
