Re: Home Security (DVR)
agree there jaskel, I think SWAN need to wake up and realise people will eventually realise their product is far inferior compared to other products..
The only thing swan have going for them is they are easy to install and non technical people can do it themselves

Re: Home Security (DVR)
Reading a thread on computer.. A cheap way to do it and stream it live to iPhone / iPad is through a program called Icam/ Ispy using web cameras ,as there are a few free ones to download . Just something I found looking on the net.. Motion activated , can send email, SMS and other options....
Thanks sw sydney scanner. Using UBCD396T
Re: Home Security (DVR)
Doing it that way gives poor quality and no recording and if it does rec there will be no water mark so u can't use it for evidence.

Re: Home Security (DVR)
exactly, like my former employer they had about 6 dvr's setup that was recording video
only problem was, if you shutdown the application running on the server it stopped recording of all camera's...
Besides that the vision they were recording was not encrypted in any way shape or form so you could quite easily doctor the vision put it back up on the Server and they would be none the wiser.
They started installing Honywell Fusion DVR's before i left there, which were brilliant as they were encrypted and without the appropriate viewing software and the right codec's you could not see anything except black

Re: Home Security (DVR)
Look at the paradox alarm with PCS 3G module. Mg5050 is a decent unit
