Did a bit of scanning on the Winter Magic organizers on Saturday. Very sad that they were using CB Ch 37. Oh well, kept the truckies entertained.

It created a big diversion when I was passing through Katoomba CBD strip on Saturday night about 6pm - all car access blocked off
I ended up eating at Leura instead

PS No scanner on me at the time.

Basically the whole street is closed off and they have parades where fereals dress normally and strutt their ugly stuff...

Oh and every pub in town gets packed out.

They had by my count 18 radio users on CB Ch 37...

Maybe somebody should email the organisers & tell them to keep off repeater inputs in future!

I have been to the Winterfest once about 4 years ago & it was packed! I took a photo from the bottom of Katoomba street & all you could see was a sea of people, yes there was a lot of "ferals"

I would have been there this weekend, but I was moving house, now I live even closer to Katoomba (was at Woodford) I might turn feral too! :o

Ahh there are no repeaters in range in Katoomba anyway.

E Security Group also regulary use repeater channels, lul. I've even seen them using Ch 5.
