I upgraded from my old 40ch UHFCB radio to a new 80ch UHFCB radio & was surprised at how small & compact they have made the new models.Small DIN size units designed for current model cars.
I purchased a Uniden UH7740NB for home base use for mainly monitoring commercial users using UHFCB in my local area.
Best features would be:
1. Extra 50 rx channels can be programmed.(450-520mhz range)
2. Scan feature were you can lockout unwanted channels
3. Programmable subtones
4. 7 different backlight colours to choose from
5. Be on one channel while monitoring another (dual watch)
Good little radio for anyone wanting to use one in the car or at home.
I was nearly going to buy a Oricom but after a few reviews about some having rx problems I stayed clear of this brand. So do your research first before purchasing.
John.
