No.

XTS3ks don't have "P25 boards" in them. Theyve got a vocoder board, a controller board, and an RF deck, and an optional secure module. The flashcode and ability to decode P25 is stored in the Host and DSP firmware that resides in the controller and vocoder modules.

None of those parts are even remotely interchangable with a smelly old MSC2000...

Matt

spekaing of MCS2000 Radios, i've just acquired an MCS2000 that covers 403-477mhz and want to program it RX for nswgrn.
I know I should not use a radio as a scanner, but never the less Its a good radio and I want to put it to good use.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction via PM or email if possible.

ccscanman, Batlabs is the definitive resource for that kinda thing.

Be very careful how you set it up - you must ensure that the radio cannot affiliate or transmit at all.

Personally, I just use my Uniden 996 to listen to the GRN - Motorolas are just a pain in the arse unless you're a legit user that has a valid RID and can affiliate to the network.

Cheers,
Matt
