Uniden SDS100 announcement 19/3/18 3pm (US time)
Re: Uniden SDS100 announcement 19/3/18 3pm (US time)
The SDS100E has been officially released and is available in Europe as of early October 2018.

Unlike the Euro version of the 436PT (3600XLT), the SDS100E lists that it doesn't come with DMR included in the price. DMR, NDXN and Provoice are all additional purchases.

You will have to worry about that too much. Unless you pimp your scanner with the bigger battery of course.

Hmm. I guess it’s reasonable to say that R&D funding for the SDS100 went towards developing the application of SDR, and not so much into how it was going to be powered.
Re: Uniden SDS100 announcement 19/3/18 3pm (US time)
One of the downsides of direct conversion SDR is that it does tend to use a bit of power. Being a first generation design, compromises like this are to be expected unfortunately..
