396 vs 436 pt

I am thinking of buying a 436 pt should I hold off until grn goes phase 2 ???
What do people think of the 436 pt compared to the 396xt ??

Im close to upgrading soon to.
But couple of things I would like to know about, Program/using . Is the memory and style of controls the same as 396?
Not the layout of buttons of course .
The 396 as we all know,was a bit daunting to get your head around at first. But ends up being a great scanner , after learning how to drive it.
So Id hate to leave that. Iv seen somewhere its like the home patrol, Iv never got close to one of them.
A feature that entices me to the 436 is the recording, Does it work well ?
When you replay , does it still record live traffic ?
There is another thread i know, but Ill through it in here .If i was to upgrade it would be a HP for the new digital support.
