gettign ubct8 to track grn

Post by astro_boy » Fri Jan 02, 2009 5:10 pm

A mate asked me to setup his ubct8 for the NSW GRN.
I have followed the instructions on this page;
http://users.sa.chariot.net.au/~mattb/s ... amming.htm

But replaced the Base, Offset and Step to
1. 413.100 12.5 723
2. 415.000 12.5 748
3. 415.575 12.5 380

So anyways i set the scanner to trunk and search for IDs
It comes up with a few lines across the screen flashing, but doesn’t pick up any IDs.
while my 396t sitting next to it is getting the ambos and fireies fine.

Yes, the channel frequencies are correct and none are locked out.

What could it be i couldn’t find much after a google around ?

Cheers

Try changing it from lowest to highest frequency order to lowest to highest offset order.
1. 415.575 12.5 380
2. 413.100 12.5 723
3. 415.000 12.5 748

Nope, it's as per the order in the first post.

Check that each channel is set as a 'Trunk' channel and check that you have set each Bank as a trunk bank as well.

Aslo check that it is set for Motorola Type 2 UHF and that status bit is on and end tone is on.

If you don't have any IDs programmed into the scan lists, make sure you hit search, not scan.

I also have a ubct8 which was hard to program GRN, after a quite a few times and me swearing works fine. I was going to look which order my offsets were in but didn't want to stuff up my one. :| good to hear it is all working
