Without going into too much detail about things, the 536 at this stage will not be available to the general public for 2 years. However if certain circumstances change, the 2 year embargo maybe lifted.

Also all the speculation regarding the embargo is wrong, keep guessing.

If Pacific Telecommunications was in partnership with Uniden Australia and successful in the wining bid to supply Radio Receivers to the CFA, I would expect to see some kind of Contractual Conditions placed on the partnership by the CFA and on Uniden by Pacific Telecommunications if any scanner setup cost was incured by Pacific Telecommunications, one would expect Pacific Telecommunications to recoup some of it's cost for their outlay.

So can understand if sales to the general publc does have sales restrictions to the general public to protect commercial interests.
