463.075Mhz CTCSS 167.9 - Unlisted ACMA = Liverpool Hospital
Re: 463.075Mhz CTCSS 167.9 - Unlisted ACMA = Liverpool Hosp
Thanks Richard
My new metal knee is good - will be progressing to crutches in the next day or so .... return to normal walking and simple things like using stairs to get to and from work takes about three months of intensive physio
However i do have a secondary problem with cellulitis (now being treated with antibotics) so i have got a few extra days here
I am popping that many pills i don't what is what except they work good

Re: 463.075Mhz CTCSS 167.9 - Unlisted ACMA = Liverpool Hosp
yep, expect to see more of em Grant.... as with nsw govt trying to find cost saving measures one of the things security / hospital managers will not bother renewing is their license fees for their acma licenses..
The acma's lack of attention to one particular incident I reported left me gob smacked, this particular manager didn't bother to renew 6 freq licenses. I had sent him emails advising him he needed to(as he was my former boss)... He didn't bother so i contacted ACMA
ACMA said they were dealing with it and rather than prosecute for not renewing or however they enforce they just let the guy renew them again...

Unless they are descrete frequencies, ive heard anothet hospital in the southwest which is also unlisted, however analog/clear, most descrete that ate unlisted are encrypted P25.

I'm not sticking up for either side of this matter but don't you think that the ACMA have better things to do than pursuing the Department of Health over a low power service not bugging anyone? I'd prefer to see them out dealing with real problems. If you think the ACMA don't chase unlicenced services have a word with Quantum Communications.... the difference was that (a) there was potential for interference to be caused, and (b) it was a commercial service. My view is that what you describe as lack of attention to detail is really just sensible prioritisation of enforcement.

Recently I was involved with a joint operation with ACMA tracking down wide spread interference to a network I maintain. Literally they worked their ring out and at one stage there was 3 RI's on the job at the same time. They have very limited resources and I commend them for the work they undertook.

I understand from somebody who has track down their hospital security frequency that the same issue exist - they are transmitting on a different frequency to their acma allocation. They have two licences for 463Mhz - just not the correct frequency, unless there is a clerical stuff-up in the database. Grant
PS Systemtech - If it is UHF mpt1327 not suprised because it is a jungle in that band when i scan through
