Re: Sydney Roads and Motorways
Yeah i've had them in the scanner for a while, and have never heard them in Sydney at all, even got pulled up myself one day and they did it by phone at Pheasants Nest
Re: Sydney Roads and Motorways
Starting to think 10703 is being used for the contraflow operations (which explains why they appear at major accidents like the F3 mooney mooney incident) - most of the time they seem to be hanging around the tidal flow operations for the Harbour Bridge and Anzac Bridge.
Callsigns: TMC (Tango 3 and Tango 5), Zulu 1 (vehicle and portables) Zulu 2 (vehicle and portables)

PS Found this for the F3 contraflow operations

Yep i got 10703 as similar description, Tango and Zulu. I have 10704 as Special Events, was used on Anzac Day and a few other events in the CBD. 10710 is used by a Road Maintenance crew that works during the night, and 10714 has been popping up on Site 109 over the last few weeks, only 3 radios logged.
Re: Sydney Roads and Motorways
have a listen to 10710 between about 9-12pm several days each week. couple of RTA crews need to be careful about what they talk about, if that was recorded they would get some heat over it. the F word gets used every few sentences along with other interesting comments

Yeah, i think i mentioned that the other day in relation to the i-calls with Sydney Ferries, they arn't the only ones either, a few railcorp ones over the weekend when doing track maintenance are about the same as the guys on 10710.

Re: Sydney Roads and Motorways
Been going on for years! They all think nobody can listen in.
The best instance I know of is when workers from a public utility type agency decided that their own talkgroups were e too busy and they selected an ESO (Common) Talkgroup to use for chatter.
They chose ESO 10 which was cross connected to Police Chan X Operator and let go with quite a few Fs and Cs. (The workers as it turned out had no idea what they were taking on).
Result: Hurried visit to GRN Office by Police Supervisor. GRN NOCC were able to listen in as ESO 10 plus all other ESO TG's were on the Centracom, a simple case of clicking an icon. Radio IDs were recorded and a warning given on the talkgroup to the offenders.
Red faces all around the Agency for a. swearing on air, and b. inappropriate use of the ESO Talkgroup(s). Formal action for Use of Offensive Language was considered. Indeed it was voice recorded by the Police audio system as per normal.

505.2500 141.3 M2 Motorway - MOTOTRBO - Tx North Epping
507.7250 141.3 M2 Motorway - Control (Control Room, M2 Tow Truck and road crew) Tx Macquarie Park
507.8875 141.3 M2 Motorway - Tx Beecroft
Hearing Mototrbo on 505.2500 this morning
M2 Tollway is the only possibility on a Australia wide acma search
Not sure if it is 100% TRBO or combination on these three frequencies

PS Having trouble getting it to decode on the DMR decoder - maybe NXDN digital?

All is not lost Garry, heard M2 related chat on 507.8875MHz yesterday. Talking about a bus parked somewhere on the motorway and what to do with it.Garry wrote:I didnt like reading that Grant,, I enjoy listening in to the roads and motorways lol
