Yeah the trouble is the debug window shows

Code: Select all

RecordStart - Record Start Error: Error (9): Index was outside the bounds of the array.
I suppose it shouldn't do that.

Everything else bar recordings seem to work!

*EDIT* In touch with David again, and he indicates it is a bug and is working with me to resolve it.

Is this a bug with win7 64bit? Recording works fine for me under win7, though i am now using it under XP.

Seems David has fixed it in a testing build he sent me. I'm predicting he'll release 1.2.3 very shortly. To try to answer your question this is what he said:

"I am surprised that no one else reported that error. It had to have been there since ID Tracker III was originally converted from ID Tracker II."

OK, glad its been fixed.
Big high 5 to David from ID Tracker. Good to see free software supported so well. Gives me another reason to like it. Handy piece of software if you ask me. Will get some use nutting out users of the digital GRN once they all start coming online this year. :D

Agreed. I just sent David an email whinging about his lack of information on how to donate. The time and help he's rendered to me in the past few days makes donation seem highly worthwhile.

Maybe suggest recording to MP3 file format instead of WAV. I know it requires extra compression, but its better supported these days across most platforms and audio playback hardware.

Already done. Apparently support to stream to Icecast with ID3 tags is also on the todo list.

already done too, scannercast on radio reference does it quite nicely you have to use winamp though.

Yep, but you cannot use scannercast and id tracker iii concurrently. Therefore, id tracker iii will be adding support (so I'm told) to correct this problem - allowing users to record and stream at the same time.

Also you're not limited to just winamp - any media player that displays the id3 tags as they change will suffice (ie. everything but Windows Media player)
