Just regarding them on UHF, around this area I can get them on 460.800 as well as the VHF channels.

That is a link, not a base. They use UHF links to connect each base to form a network. Their major link site down there is Mt Mumbulla.

Ah OK, so its base to base. Either way its handy as I can get them clearer on this freq than their 78MHz freq.
