Westpac Building 494.2375

Post by cartman » Wed Nov 11, 2009 7:52 am

I was listening about 5am this morning and heard this frequency (494.2375 CTCSS 67.0) active while searching for new signals. Somebody was asking "Security 2" to arrange for the cleaners to attend to some rubbish. A quick look on the ACMA was helpful. It turns out that this 5w duplex frequency is licensed to Infocus Infrastructure Management 259-293 Kent St Sydney. A bit of digging around on the internet has come up with the information that this is the Westpac Building (aka as the KENS site)

The blurb on the Leighton's website
The KENS site is located over an entire city block within the precinct defined by Kent, Erskine, Napoleon and Sussex Streets (from which the project takes its name) and occupies a unique and commanding position in the western corridor of the Sydney CBD within walking distance of Darling Harbour. This is effectively the last complete city block available for development. It was the site of a public car park and a number of heritage listed buildings, which have been incorporated into the design.

The development comprises of two connected towers providing approximately 74,000 square metres of commercial office space, 3020 square metres of service and retail areas, 864 car parking spaces and a landscaped urban park. Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac) has consolidated 10 separate CBD offices into the larger, 33-storey tower.

Now complete, Leighton Services (a subsidiary of Leighton Contractors) will provide facilities management services to Westpac Funds Management, as part of a 12-year joint venture agreement with James Fielding Property Services (Infocus Infrastructure Management JV).
