Not for radio scanning though :)

Hillsbus use the VHF frequency I mentioned, with Tait radios, regardless of what depot they come from.

Westbus etc may be a different story, although I've never had a reason to find out.

Interesting, One of the Hillsbus fleet has a couple of runs each day for the Business I work for. The radio operator is "bonnyrigg base(westbus)" Radios are TAIT with motorola portables

Hillsbus also use the 487.675Mhz frequency which caters for the lower half of the Hillsbus map.

I have been scanning both (162.975 and 487.675) and they are not patched together.
Both are Hillsbus as can be demonstrated by noting the bus numbers quoted and looking up the CDC listing on Australian Bus Fleet lists

I thought Hillsbus might have been using 473.675 (st 146.2) off Pennant Hills site but checking the acma now shows Two Way radio rentals has moved this frequency to Bondi Jct on 23.9.11.

FYI, CDC lost another run 2 weeks ago, they now have until Aug next year when they loose region 3. they lost the latest tender to the NSW govt(the 2nd one they have lost in 6 months). A western australia based operator will be taking over the Region 3 runs.....

A while back I noticed Hillsbus 'conductors' walking around with Motorola digital portables, similar to the DP3600.

I haven't heard them on their old VHF and UHF frequencies of late and noticed this document earlier this afternoon referencing the Orion (MOTOTRBO) network:

Just one more user to the digital side maybe...
