ACMA Radio Inspectors

Although I have been aware of their frequencies and have even sighted them driving around in their 4 wheel drives with a roof covered in aerials, I have yet to hear them, until last wednesday. Hear them is a rather loose word ... it was digital encryption that I could hear. Two users engaged in a nonstop conversation that lasted at least 20mins. I figure maybe somebody in the Chook Band (UHF CB) was about to get a visit.
494.7500 Tx Lucas Heights, P25p1, DESOFB, NAC: ACA, Key ID and Radio IDs noted
In Sydney (and the frequencies are the same throughout Australia) the ACMA use:
493.6250 Tx Warrimoo
494.4250 Tx Tower 3 201 Sussex Street Sydney
494.7500 Tx Lucas Heights
My trusty tapped 796 Uniden scanner + WinDSDv2 and DSD+1.51 were used to monitor
Probably an academic exercise in logging this as I figure that they will be shifting by the end of the year into the new Government band
