This is the entry in ERSA for Westmead Heliport

WESTMEAD HOSPITAL
WESTMEAD CHILDRENS HOSPITAL NETS BASE

Unicom 124.150
CTAF 124.150
AWIS 128.000 or 0296338748
PAL 128.000
FIA 124.5500 Sydney Centre
NETS Clinical Co-ordination - GRN ADM TG NETS 6

However the AWIS doesnt transmit on the frequency 128.000 (nothing heard at Blacktown) nor is the frequency registered on the ACMA.
The listed Phone number is indeed the Westmead Heliport AWIS

"Westmead AWIS Wind 360 degrees magnetic 2kts QNH 1013 Temperature 14 Visibility 6km Dewpoint 14 Humidity 99%"

Westmead Hospital Met info appears on the 64km Terry Hills radar image (with observations selected) but nowhere else on the BOM site

that if i remember correctly is where the rescue choppers can turn on the lights at the hospital helipad if they are inbound and security have not turned them on
RNSH has something similar when i used to work there, but we always had the lights on for the choppers

ah cool, that sounds familiar

mind you RNSH was funny as they could in the old building activate the lights, but they had no way of bringing the patient into the hospital as they had no swipe card access.. hope this is fixed in the new building
