However the AWIS doesnt transmit on the frequency 128.000 (nothing heard at Blacktown) nor is the frequency registered on the ACMA.

that if i remember correctly is where the rescue choppers can turn on the lights at the hospital helipad if they are inbound and security have not turned them on
RNSH has something similar when i used to work there, but we always had the lights on for the choppers

ah cool, that sounds familiar
mind you RNSH was funny as they could in the old building activate the lights, but they had no way of bringing the patient into the hospital as they had no swipe card access.. hope this is fixed in the new building
