Re: And we're back...

No probs.

I do agree it would be untimely, which is why I agreed to take over the bill!

It's a good site and only as good as every users contribution.

Happy scanning.

Downtime 26 August

Hi Guys,

Apologies for the downtime today. The site was transferred to me earlier in the year to look after and I only had the hosting bill in my calendar. I've now renewed the Domain name as well.

I'll pop both in the calendar from now on.

Happy scanning!

Hi all,

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Ash

Sydney South West to go Silent

citabria wrote:No - according to the article it's based on Telstra 4G service.
The system still functions surprisingly well on 1-2 bars of GPRS reception as well.

Re: Sydney South West to go Silent

Those MDT's were shit full stop. It's only in the last few years that I think hardware has gotten to the level that it needs to be rugged, easy to read and operable with gloves on in a truck and the HP Toughpads being used are definitely best of breed in that field. The software is also being vigoro...

Re: Busies/denials during emergencies - RFS wasting resource

You would think that... 10 points for being optimistic... It's probably not the guys in the OCC that are causing the issues but people in their offices with their portable on particular talk groups... Every office in there has a couple of radios sitting in a charger

Re: New FRNSW Channels - August 2014

Yep those are "Fire Ground" channels for use in shopping centres, railway stations etc where simplex doesn't work very well between crews and trucks and their is GRN coverage within the structure.
