Imagine if somebody was calling you, there would be a mad scramble to find which radio/microphone to us, then you would have a crash!

Yes, I believe they even had radio tracking trucks to drive down the street & pick up stray rf from the receiver if stages & fine you if you were not licenced... bit hard to do that these days!
