Re: NSWGRN Control Channel list

Would make building code plugs easier in future if they'd do zones by region but as it stands I'm seeing z2 and z3 around the Taree area.

Indeed it has since OXLEY is now gone apparently and replaced by Richmond/Tweed all the way from just south of Bulahdelah I think to the QLD border and is ALL run from Gong (and what a c0$kup it is too when it gets busy (like our floods last month).

NSW GRN new CC frequencies on XTS

Has anyone else started to shift the trunk systems on their XTS/XTL etc equipment that no longer can handle any more controller frequencies and have new ones coming in? I'm tring to work out areas by systems so for example Hunter (lower and upper) would have it's own system with a controller list an...

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)

Site 002-114 Dingo Forest control channel 419.7375 has been up and running for a couple of months. Confirmed NAC is 2D1. As indicated above in an earlier post Taree 002-112 control channel 419.5500 NAC 2DF. Recorded from rest stop south of Taree on Pacific Highway I'm not sure why they registered t...

To which ACMA are not impressed (long story) and have stated that whilst lower on the priority will be chasing up. In their words "it's an emergency channel, not a chat channel for the Rural Fire Service".

Re: Help needed - RFS & SES, Mid Murray (non GRN).

The combined channels should have been there from day dot I think outside of GRN areas. KJ, VKG etc etc don't need to talk with us but FRNSW there are times where it would be exceptionally beneficial. Speaking as somoene who's been on both sides and from an area that is VERY large we don't generally...

Re: Help needed - RFS & SES, Mid Murray (non GRN).

Put your glasses on Glenn, he clearly said, "P25 has been the worse move in Fire Ground Comm's " Righto ... good catch. I still strongly disagree with their claim just the same, just for other reasons. The constant scratch scratch at firegrounds used to piss me off something shocking. It amazes me ...

Re: Help needed - RFS & SES, Mid Murray (non GRN).

You're not supposed to be talking to firecom when in BA! You're only supposed to be using simplex frequencies. UHF fireground frequencies (eg UHF Fireground 1-4 are analogue) have both analogue and P25 and the VHF are all analogue so if you're so worried about P25 then try to use them. Frankly in mo...

The Z is a scan symbol. Because voting is a "vote scan" for Motorola it's still a scan and it means the radio is scanning.

I've not seen the T but it sounds like it's for trunking if anything.
