Re: Looking for Serial Data or IP Controlled Receiver?

I'm sure that there must be something out there ...... Looking for a remote controlled reciever / scanner with real serial data connection (RS-232) or IP ethernet connection. This would be more an "industrial" model rather than hobbyist gear .... Any ideas? Mal http://www2.rohde-schwarz.com/en/prod...

HF

All,

A little unusual for this forum, but I though I would try.

Presently programming up the CODAN for a trip away and was wondering how much HF was still in use by the coppers in NSW (and SA for that matter)

Does anybody have any info ?

Thanks

Re: Antenna for portable use

Unfortunately trying to cover several different bands on the one antenna (esp in a portable) will always be a massive compromise. If your worried about mid-band I would suggest http://www.rfi.com.au/downloads/wireless/hand-portable-antennas.pdf HPM series, for mid-band is not too bad, also does ok (n...

Re: FS: Uniden BCD396XT, as new with all accessories & box

Rusty, Still for sale ? and a couple of quick questions, looking to use this in a survey application. Does it report the RSSI value as the 996 does ? What is the RSSI accuracy like, good range (-60 to -120dBm) , stable (will return consistent results) calibrating the scale is no problem. Still need ...

996XT and GPS Logging

All,

looking for a way to log the RSSI value from the scanner (as most software seems to do) however I would like to stamp this with a GPS Lat / Long.

GPS data either from the 996 or direct to the PC not fussed.

Does anybody know of any software around that will do this ?

Thanks
