Re: Victorian MMR network

Looks like a new VICMMR site has just appeared on the ACMA database, authorised 10 days ago. Mernda Police Station cnr Bridge Inn Road and Pimpinella Pass - ACMA Site 10002101 Only has 3 freqs licenced: 421.4750; 421.7750; 422.1375 Andrew I think traditionally those have been BDA freqs. On the road...

Re: Victorian MMR network

MMR and RMR are using the same bandplan, as mentioned. MMR Sites are Phase II capable, they had the upgrades some time ago. Correct regarding the EAS Paging Network. The two frequencies are split between agencies. 148.9125 is the original EAS frequency whilst the other is a former Orange Network fre...

Re: Victorian MMR network

Mt Cotterell is still 0129.

Mind you it is currently using its alternative CC frequency, that being 420.7250MHz.

Re: Victorian MMR network

My memory is going it would seem! Glen Waverley (Police Academy) was not an ISR site initially according to some rather old notes I have. Although I do have some text indicating there was something a little different about it at the time (circa 2005) and telling me to refer to another document, WHIC...

Re: Victorian MMR network

Hi, Let me check on Glen Waverley when I get a chance. I think from memory it originally was an ISR site though and may have transitioned at a later stage to be part of an LSM system. I have a feeling Mt Helen may have always been RFSS 2, in fact it may have been the initial one, I can't recall for ...

Re: Victorian MMR network

Ah the Mt Tassie is another interesting one with a bit of mystery to it. Not sure if ACMA goofed or received incorrect data and had it assigned to the broadcast tower when in fact it was on the Telstra tower, or if it was on the broadcast tower and moved to the Telstra site, hence the duplication. T...

Re: Victorian MMR network

Hi, One of the sites might possibly a duplication. I noticed they had a listing for two locations at Maryborough. Apparently in August 2016 the site was moved from one Maryborough site to another with the same control channels, frequencies, etc. This move was initiated by Telstra due to problems at ...

Re: Victorian MMR network

Hi Folks, I've added a few new planned RMR sites to my MMR Network and RMR Network map that I provided the link to in my previous post. Whilst I have the planned frequencies (which are now also on ACMA) they haven't quite determined the CC or ACC from the sites planned frequencies so I haven't added...

Re: Victorian MMR network

I knew I forgot to mention something regarding the RMR Network! NSWPOL have purchased an initial 100 Tait radios in order for cross-border comms. Uncertain of placement and allocation structure and future additions. I just know they have them for such and they got 100 of them. Incidentally Motorola ...

Re: Victorian MMR network

I think I now have a reasonably complete list of the VICRMR sites, a little over 200 of them.. As part of the RMR expansion the plan, currently, is for 238 sites. Some, whilst licenced on ACMA, still need to be actually built, locations such as Harrow, Lawloit, Murtoa, Mount Zero, Bairnsdale, Bayvi...
