NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)

Those are most likely QLD GWN sites, as the GWN uses band plan 1 for it’s 400MHz channels.

700MHz isn't used by LMR trunking in Australia. That's just the default USA bandplan that they left in the NSWGRN for some reason.

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)

I wonder if a CoW is designed to slave off a nearby site somehow? Andrew Welcome back again Andrew! By chance, is it only Unitrunker that you are seeing TG 6...

Yup, that’s one just use for GRN data. Anything that uses TCP/IP at low bandwidths can use the GRN Data service.

Re: GRN Data Channels...?

It's used for stuff like GPS etc... Citabria, When you say used for stuff like GPS, is that for like Calculating the Position of a Mobile Radio Unit? Yes, except the position is not calculated, the radio has an embedded GPS, the host firmware gets the GPS co-ordinates, embeds them in a P25 LRRP PDU...

Re: GRN Data Channels...?

Cartman put the data stream into DSD+ and it decoded it with LC_ADJ_STS_BCST_EXP and various other RSSI site info. Googling LC_ADJ_STS_BCST_EXP shows it stands for 'Adjacent Site Status Broadcast - Explicit' which is part of the TIA P25 messaging standard. Those are just Control Channel TSBK packet...

Re: Bathurst 1000 - 2020

Ah, the not-so-great race... are they still running that? :o I haven't even bothered watching for the last couple of years, I just can't see the attraction since the V6 Stupidcars took over. Might drag out the DVD set of the 1979 race and watch that instead! Andrew Seriously? They're V6s now!? Wow....

Re: [QLD] Government Wireless Network (QLDGWN)

They will be whatever they are confiogured to be on that system / core.

They can be transcoded from Phase 1 to Phase 2 and vice versa. Whether or not they implement this remains to be seen
