SDS200 vs SDS200E

The 200E also comes standard with DMR and NXDN. The 200 you will need to purchase them separately. Factor that in too when looking at cost. I did a comparison list up a couple of years back on this site. It hasn’t been updated in a while, but the 200 info should still be current. https://scansydney....

RFS Digital PMR

Is this a new list? A quick look through suggests some of the channel names are from older profiles, however viewing on a phone at the moment so unfortunately so can’t see the columns correctly.

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)

This morning I did another CC search and yep . . . 420.3250 - Z4-064 come up in my search from the Penrith area. 004-064 is the new site ID for Simpsons Hill (Wiseman’s Ferry). It was previously 001-034. Noticed a number of changes ages over the last week or so into RFSS 004, so seems to be some zo...

NSW P25 GRN - Talk Groups Part 3

I’ve noticed similar channels across a number of a Sydney sites of late, however put it down to a UT ‘quirk’ for 2 reasons: - there was only ever 1 or 2 hits on each of the new channels, and only ever one user listed. - channels in the 05 and 07 bandplan also appeared. Plus it coincided with when I ...

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Talk Groups Part 3

Does anyone know TG's for Dept of Prime Industries? It's possible their radios are 14 channels. First 12 are GRN, so wondering if anyone knows those 12 TG's allocated to them. Also, does anyone know who is 12626, with RID's of 217xxxx and 902xxxx. There are 12 DPI talkgroups listed on the nswgrn.co...

Re: NSW Police Broadcasting On GRN

I still reckon even day to day ops will be hampered. The infill/local coverage sites that are going in all around the place are a massive plus for portable coverage, but I notice from UT that the larger sites (eg Kurrajong, Chullora, Horsley Park) are still regularly near capacity during peak times ...

You’re right Grant for the P25 conversational channels, just checked DSD and it’s definitely still indicating DES.

DES-OFB is on its last legs
Pretty sure they already use AES, and have done so for some time.

NSW Police Broadcasting On GRN

There would have to be more than 26 GD talkgroups because there's channels Alpha thru Zulu plus a handful of numbered channels (I recall "Channel 4" was out Quakers Hill way) plus however many networked back-channels will be replaced. Yes and no. While they do currently use 2, 4 and 5 for dispatch ...
