Re: NSWPF radio now fully encrypted.
So what are they doing with Xray now? If there are no unencrypted channels left to patch into (or soon to be none) and they can't very well encrypt Xray (as other agencies won't have access), are they running Xray on a separate console with a dedicated operator? Seems like a huge waste of manpower c...

Re: NSWPF radio now fully encrypted.
And you can thank Radio Reference / Broadcastify, not quite so much here in Australia as in the US but the push toward encryption in general has certainly not been helped by their making police and other communications available to anyone with a smartphone. Lindsay C. Blanton III is to scanner enthu...

Re: Help needed - RFS & SES, Mid Murray (non GRN).
~ Talkgroups are NOT used in emergency services conventional voting systems ~ You obviously don't log NSWPF channels! 8-) As far as conventional vote groups are concerned, you can basically ignore them, from a scanning prospective anyway. Each base still TXs on a unique frequency it's just the Base...

Hmm... okay, I *think* I've banned him but it doesn't seem to show anywhere above? (First time I've ever banned anyone)
I'll leave it to someone else to delete these posts if they want. Thanks, Garry!

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
Different Client IDs for different things... ACMA Client ID: 160 = ACT (not all licences are TRN sites, and not all TRN sites are listed as there are sites licenced to individual agencies) ACMA Client ID: 525851 = GRN ACMA Client ID: 20019469 = LPS ACMA Client ID: 20036348 = HSGA And then the PMR ne...

Re: Bathurst 1000 - 2020
I recently discovered that swapping to a shielded Ethernet cable made a significant difference to my setup too. The sound processor is right next to the NIC on my motherboard (probably the same as most others) and I was getting up to -50dB of noise on a line-in audio feed, but swapping the old CAT5 ...

Re: Daylight Saving Time
It's that time of year again! Don't forget that the forum doesn't automatically adjust for daylight savings, you need to go into your "User Control Panel", select the "Board preferences" tab, and click on "Summer Time" = Yes Well, unless you're lucky enough to live in a state that doesn't have it th...

Ah, the not-so-great race... are they still running that?
I haven't even bothered watching for the last couple of years, I just can't see the attraction since the V6 Stupidcars took over.
Might drag out the DVD set of the 1979 race and watch that instead!

Re: TASMANIAN GRN
Try 514678 Damn, I was hoping they'd use a client ID exclusively for the TASGRN, that ID has sites all over Vic plus one in Adelaide. Why wouldn't the TAS State Govt Telco control all the licencing? If that's the correct ID, it looks like there's only the one site so far at MT RUMNEY with three VHF...

Re: TASMANIAN GRN
It's a P25 system (same as all the other states) with a WACN ID of BEE00-5E3 There are a few people on the Unitrunker forum monitoring it's rollout, apparently there's at least one site running already at Mt Rumney but I haven't looked any further. Does anyone happen to know what ACMA client ID all ...
