162.2750 141.3 Veolia Transport Tx Pennant Hills. "Bankstown Depot"
This is the red Metrobus M9x service run by Veolia for Transport NSW. The bus radio displays "03 METRO" and they use Kenwood radios with FleetSync (similar to MDC-1200)

I have noticed this recently, it's quite annoying. Sounds something like 'psssst'. I think it only occurs when there is P25 audio being decoded and a 'beep' comes through...

Curious... what did you hear? Which unit was it?

There was WinTone many years ago but that only worked on Win95/98. It worked quite well and did all the various SELCAL and DTMF.

Looks like a ferrite choke. SMD resistors, the MELF type have metal end caps... I take it there isn't a give way component designator anywhere nearby??
