Re: GRN P25 Pt2
...Are the Telstra/GRN techs doing any of the upgrades, or is it only Motorola techs doing the hands on work at each site... Nope, all Motorola guys now as evident by the tech (Hi Martin if you're reading :o ) stating this arvo that he couldn't generate a rectifier fault without turning off Telstra...

Hey Matt,Longreach wrote:...site 0321 Mt Gray, has 4 peers 0312, 0316, 0320 and 0322...
Can you confirm which sites 312, 316, 320 & 322 are? They are obviously all in wide area also or they wouldn't be peers?
TIA
Andrew

Re: GRN P25 Pt2
Looks like the Far South Coast is (finally) gettin' some lovin'... Boyne Trig (Site 313) was switched over to wide area yesterday and the techs can be heard on Mt Wandera (Site 329) right now (So much fuss over a little door alarm! :P). Both sites now have peers listed where there were none before. ...

Re: GRN P25 Pt2
Firstly, let me qualify that I've never used Pro96COM so I can't really compare the two programs but, the reason I've stuck with Unitrunker is because I can have multiple receivers (I'm currently running 4 but I plan to double that up to 8 when/if the minister for finance approves next year's commun...

Re: GRN P25 Pt2
...Not sure where you're seeing the 378MHZ from... From the Unitrunker LOG file, the relevant control channel data being transmitted (in hex) is: "34 00 45 17 A0 32 04 EA C6 18 44 8F" Which Unitrunker decodes as: "Identifier Update 4 Base 412475000 Spacing 6250 Tx Offset 378000000 " Have a look in ...

Re: GRN P25 Pt2
...So I've made it a Motorola Type 2 with control channel frequency entered and ticked "control channel only... John, That won't work (and answers the question of why you were being asked for a band plan); when programming the new P25 GRN you ***MUST*** create the system as Moto P25, if you create ...

Re: expanding north
An interesting note is, at present, these frequencies are listed as having two separate input frequencies Yeah, I've noticed that before with other VKG P25 frequency allocations, not sure why they do that unless they're doubling up two vote group channels on the one repeater? Maybe it's a way of li...

Re: GRN P25 Pt2
Can someone advise if the base settings are the same as the old system? ie: Base settings 1,Base freq:413.100,Channel step:12.5khz,Offset number:723 John, The old Type II system required multiple base settings because it utilised an amalgamation of non sequential frequencies (i.e. there were gaps i...

Re: What the??
I think the GCIO is indeed falling behind when it comes to updating the frequency licences? For example, looking at the Beecroft site (ACMA Site ID 4494), the control channel (LCN 04-0586) which is currently transmitting on the P25 system still has an analogue only emission designator of "10K1F3E". ...
