Re: RFS Air to Ground channel

Try 130.550MHz, I have heard stuff on this before. They also seem to use GD87STATE OPS 10074 to report aircraft movements for SAR watch etc.

Re: P25 Talk Groups part 2

I can't comment on the two you have quoted, freqwaves, but I do know that Northern Ops takes over from Sydney North Ops at about Berowra and the nearest ambulance station is Hawkesbury River and that would be in the Cowan footprint so would have thought it was normal for that talkgroup to be active ...

Re: P25 Talk Groups part 2

I am at home furiously scribbling and updating unitrunker The dispatchers don't sound impressed so far There seems to be a)capacity issues b)location reception issues C) radio issues - volume too loud or radio dropping out The capacity issues are where transmissions are not getting through Talking ...

Re: Zeon 800Mhz radios / bases for sale

I can program "simplex" channels if someone on here got them. They can be put on the network, just will be a pain Hi News, Just as a discussion point (BTW as it was not me who bought them :)) , I thought that TETRA radios could only work with the network infrastructure in place and could not be use...

Re: RFS: P25 Transmissions on TG10055 off Chullora & Horsley

Heard a bit of activity on TG10055 off the Beecroft site today.
Sounded like they were scanning and patching some of the RFS districts around Sydney as I heard bits of Hornsby/Ku-Ring-Gai, Warringah/Pittwater, Wollongong and one or two others I could not identify from the traffic.

Cheers
Andrew

MDT Upgrades?

Heard a message yesterday that the MDT (system?) was to be upgraded last night and now hearing reports that there are problems with MDT's "all over Sydney".

Oops....do they use Windows7?

Re: TGID 14336

Thanks Richard, Ok, so I have converted them to HEX, interesting that they are in sequence apart from Cowan, but the Sugarloaf one is different from what we were originally discussing which was 380, so it looks like these are not the correct talk group numbers? 1401 DISREC 01 362 - Belrose 1402 DISR...

Re: TGID 14336

Thanks for the info Richard and Grant, yeah it makes sense. ;) I assume that each site keeps a copy of the subscriber database otherwise how does it control access when it goes into site trunking? Does this still work if a site goes into failsoft? This listing I found on another site but I wonder if...
