USDS100 Alert tones and lights not working
Hi all, I’m a relatively new USDS100 owner and have ported my faves lists from the 436/536 Sentinel to the USDS Sentinel. I’ve spent time experimenting with filters and antennas and seem to have the scanner working well (in the ACT) except for alert tones and lights - they just won’t work. I can run...

Chaos in the air tonight due Sydney storms.
I’m listening to the chaos in the air over NSW tonight due to the severe storms that are passing over Sydney atm. Flights inbound to Sydney have been holding for so long that some are now starting to divert to other airports (eg. Canberra, where I am, and Melb) or returning to the departure airports...

Re: New Canberra Metro Light Rail to use DMR
Hi Andrew. As best I know, the light rail will be run by the ACT government. Why is it using DMR and not the GRN/ TRN; I don’t know!

New Canberra Metro Light Rail to use DMR
When I last checked a week ago, 418.1250 (Mitchell) was an active (TIII) DMR CC. It’s been active since at least Dec 18 when I first checked. However I’ve not heard any voice traffic on any frequencies which could just be a consequence my infrequent checks or poor timing. With the light rail trials ...
