124.1 is the area airband freq in the Mittagong area . It must be said that because the aircraft is flying outside of controlled airspace ( known as OCTA ) , there is no requirement for any radio calls to be made on the allocated airband frequencies , so you probably won't hear a thing !! .. Police on GRN

I've logged the NSW Police on the NSW GRN a few times in the last week , particularly Goulburn , Wagga , Talbingo , Crookwell and Junee , all in clear non encryted voice .. Is this normal ??
